Research Participation Request: Legal Promises, Everyday Realities: The
Healthcare Accessibility Gap for Blind Patients


The below research participant solicitation is being provided for
informational purposes only. The National Federation of the Blind has no
involvement in this research, but we believe that it may contribute to our
research mission.


Research Title: Legal Promises, Everyday Realities: The Healthcare
Accessibility Gap for Blind Patients


Being conducted by: University of Richmond


Purpose of the Study


The form allows researchers to request assistance in recruiting blind
participants for studies. This aligns perfectly with your need to gather
data from blind patients about their healthcare experiences in Virginia and
the US.


Role of the Participants and Anticipated Length of the Study 


Participants will engage in one-on-one interviews and complete surveys.
Blind patients will be asked about their experiences accessing healthcare
services, while healthcare providers will discuss their awareness and
implementation of accessibility requirements. Each interview is expected to
take approximately 45-60 minutes, and surveys will take about 20-30 minutes
to complete.


Proposed Participant Compensation


Yes, Yes, participants will be in a raffle and who ever wings will be
compensated with a $25 gift card for their time and contribution to the
study.
