Hey NFB Family and Friends,

 

URGENT! White cane recall!! If you have received or purchased a white cane
within the last year, IMPORTANT, PLEASE Read.  In a news brief issued today,
by the Department of Health and Human Services, all white canes, no matter
the style, manufacture or distributor, are  being recalled. Apparently,
there is a chemical used in making the canes which is hazardous to your
health! If the canes are exposed to liquid, a light coating of slime will
appear on your palms. This slime is very toxic and spreads when exposed to
water or any substance which is water based. The Department of Health and
Human Services has set up a link with instructions on where to send all
white canes and how to receive a new one. Click on link: APRIL FOOLS.FUNNY

Prince William Chapter

 

Hello NFB Friends,

 

The Prince William Chapter will be having a virtual chapter meeting on April
7th, from 7 thru 8:30 PM. We will be catching up with each other, making
plans for the upcoming months, including a visit from our delegates and
possibly Mayor, other speakers, social and community events and all about
our chapter, for everyone especially those people new to the Prince William
area or the NFB.

Your journey through blindness meeting is scheduled for the 2nd Monday of
the month. Please join your Membership Committee on Monday, April 14th from
7 thru 8:30 PM on our Affiliate's Zoom. 

 

This is a safe space for all! These meetings are held as a way for everyone
to find resources, talk about triumphs and/or challenges in your blindness
journey, get tips and tricks, be with people like you who get it! No
judgements just a time and place to speak freely and be heard.
