[NFBV-Announce] Member to member profile, let's get to know each other Kamran Rizvi

Hello NFB Family and Friends,

 

Welcome to another edition of member to member, let's get to know each
other! Today we're going to get to know Kamran Rizvi from our Greater
Alexandria Chapter. Kamran has been with us since  June 2024. He likes going
to the chapter meetings but admits "I haven't been very active. I want to do
more in the coming year!" 

 

Kamran comes to us from Pakistan. He moved to the United States as an adult.
He has a wife and a grown daughter. He was educated in his homeland and has
two Masters Degrees; one in Political Science and one in History. He
specializes in late Kings of India. In fact, if he could he'd travel to
India in the 1600's and explore the civilization. Kamran says "I'm a common
man. I work in a local gas station." 

 

Kamran loves his family and his best memories are of his daughter "when she
was younger I would hold her in my lap and I'd play with her." "I like to
garden and I'm involved in advocacy, I'm a fighter!"   He wishes he could
have spent more time with his parents, before their deaths, in Pakistan. He
would also like to do something good for his wife and daughter. 

 

Kamran thinks his NFB Family would be surprised to know he'd like to do a
TED talk on International Politics "I'm passionate about this subject!"
Kamran likes to read in his native language and has favorite writers who are
his go tos.
