Happy Holidays! Happy Kwanzaa! Happy Hanukkah! Feliz Navidad!

In the way you wish joy and love to you and yours during this blessed
season, I wish you THAT!

 

The DEI Committee wants to remind you to tune in to our FIRESIDE CHAT this
Wednesday evening, December 17th, at 7 p.m.  Shannon and Jacki have
something extraordinary planned that is perfect for this season, filled with
the holiday follies and mishaps and fun-ness that are unique to people who
are low vision or blind.

As we get ready for our holiday celebrations with family and friends, there
may be some things that make our holiday a bit nerve-wracking or a little
frustrating.  Perhaps it is a tradition for your second cousin twice removed
to model her lovely annual holiday outfit, and everyone is ooing and awing,
but NO ONE is describing the outfit aloud so you can oooo and awe along with
them!  UGH!

 

Or maybe there is a delicious holiday meal spread out buffet style, but your
overbearing Aunt Bertha is worried you might make a mess so she tells you to
stay put, “I’ll bring you a plate”, giving you nothing but a tiny piece of
dry turkey, Brussel sprouts and gravy! YUK!

 

This FIRESIDE CHAT will be all about navigating thesd aspects of your
holiday gatherings and discussing strategies to make it flow so you can
enjoy every moment!

 

Bring your experiences and your ideas!  This will be a very fun and open
discussion!  And as always, put on your comfy clothes, grab a cup of
something hot, and cuddle up with us for our FIRESIDE CHAT!
