[NFBV-Announce] Seeking our next NFBV Lead Zoom Coordinator

To retain and grow our advocacy, community building and connections within
the National Federation of the Blind of Virginia, we have relied on our
Virginia affiliate Zoom account and our fantastic Zoom coordinators. 

We are seeking someone to serve as the NFB of Virginia lead Zoom
coordinator.

Wayne Williams has been our lead Zoom coordinator for the past few years,
but no role is permanent. In 2026, Wayne needs to shift roles to focus on
responsibilities for blind people in Winchester and step down from the
Virginia Lead Zoom Coordinator role.

Wayne has truly served our affiliate with distinction. I am honored to call
him my friend and colleague. Wayne generously gave me 6 months to find a
replacement and I was a slacker.

Now, at the end of the 6 months, I am reaching out to identify someone or a
few good people to fill this key role.

The lead Zoom coordinator role involves the following:

*	Coordinating the Virginia Affiliate calendar of Zoom meetings to
minimize overlapping meetings using the same Zoom account
*	Serving as Zoom host for a subset of the Virginia affiliate
meetings.
*	Recruiting (with me) additional Zoom hosts to help with meetings.
*	Helping to establish break out rooms when we have complex meetings
our multiple concurrent meetings.
*	Serving as Zoom researcher when we produce wacky ideas on how to run
a virtual session but have no idea on how we can manipulate the tool to get
it done.

You are not expected to attend all the meetings nor are you on speed dial
when things go wrong. However, this role is a terrific way to understand the
work we are doing in the Virginia affiliate and is an opportunity to grow
the number of people you know throughout the Commonwealth.

Please know that Zoom is a rich and complex tool with many features, some
requiring use of the browser-based tool, not just the app on your
smartphone. This role requires you have the capability to truly learn the
features of the Zoom product set if you do not know them already. It also
has you in many meetings where there are some complex topics being discussed
so discretion is necessary.

Wayne is generously willing to provide guidance, some good documentation,
and technical guidance for a short window of time. If you want to chat with
