Hi NFB Family and Friends,

Welcome to another edition of member to member! This week we'll get to know
my absolute favorite NFBV member, Collin Bruce and no I'm not at all biased
LOL! Collin has been a member of our NFBV family since 2019, "I saw how much
of an impact the NFBV was making in my wife's life, I knew I wanted to be a
part of this organization", Collin says. He has been involved with the
chapter as a member of the transportation committee, he's gone to Richmond
Seminar several times, has been to National and State Conventions since he
joined and he's supported our RISE Program, attended and worked at other
chapter events and has audio described our Colonial Williamsburg tour. "I
want to attend state conventions for other states and attend other chapter
meetings as well."

"I'm an only child but I have a VERY LARGE extended family! We need nametags
for family reunion" Collin chuckles. Collin grew up in Maryland and he is a
graduate of Virginia Tech, he got his Bachelors Degree in industrial
engineering and his MBA from Averett University. He works with Surry
Nuclear Power Station, Dominion Energy, as a Safety Equipment Engineer; he's
been with the company for 30 years!

Collin has a variety of interests he's into baking and has a sourdough
starter that is more than a decade old! As a former pilot, he follows
aviation and air traffic controller podcasts and knows all there is to know
about the latest trends in aviation. He likes to read, grow veggies and
spices hydroponically and audio engineering. Speaking of being a pilot, "I'm
afraid of heights, so I guess its weird that I enjoyed flying so much."
Collin loves to explore and travel, his dream vacation would be to New
Zealand, to soak up the culture and interact with the people and drink in
the beauty of the area.

A few fun facts about Collin; if he wrote a memoir, it would be called "It
seemed like a good idea at the time." He'd love to be able to talk with
animals and if he could, he'd travel 25 years into the future "I want to be
able to prepare and know what to expect

Collin's favorite memory is getting married at the Williamsburg Winery and
his first solo flight as a pilot comes in as second. I'm glad he chose
getting married to me as his first best memory LOL.

Thanks, Collin for sharing and letting us get to know you better. Stayed
tuned for another edition of member to member next week.

Peace,

Jacki Bruce
