At Large Chapter

 

 

Greetings once again,

 

Mid August and downtown is crowded with college students playing human
frogger as they transverse city streets.  If I listen closely I can almost
hear the high school and college marching bands practicing their fight songs
and the muted grumbles of students  returning to class after a Summer of
sleeping in, camps, and hanging out at the pool.  It also means it is time
for the return of At Large chapter Zoom meetings.  Join me as we ready for
state convention in a few months and the start of the holiday season shortly
there after.  If we have time we may discuss one or both of the following.

 

"For centuries, society has defined blind people as one-dimensional,"
President Riccobono said in his banquet speech at #NFB26. "One synonymous
with incompetence, incapacity, and dependence on others. Even our creative
talents have been reduced to some divine gift meant to compensate for our
overwhelming deficiencies. But blind people, we know this is not the truth."
