[NFBV-Announce] Important updates for Washington Seminar

This email is to update those who signed up to attend Washington Seminar,
and for those who are still interested in attending. But sign up quickly
because time is running out. More details are below.

 

The fact sheets are available now on our three legislative priorities for
this year and they are attached to this email. Our three issues are the
Access Technology Affordability Act, the Blind Americans Return to Work Act,
and the issue of Protecting Education, Employment and Independent Living for
the blind. I've also attached the Washington Seminar agenda.

We have heard from the National Office that there are likely no more rooms
left at the Holiday Inn Capitol. However, rooms can still be booked at two
hotels that are close by. We have no special room blocks reserved at these
hotels.

If you did not sign up for Virginia for the Washington Seminar, you can
still register until Wednesday morning, January 21st. Sign up at
https://nfbv.org/washington. It's important that you register so that I have
all the required information to put you into a team for appointments on the
Hill.

 

Finally, we will have one last Virginia specific training session for all
registered attendees on Saturday, January 24 on the Virginia affiliate Zoom.
More details and the link will be sent out next week to all who registered
for Washington Seminar.
