We, or someone we know, can make one for us.<o:p></o:p></p><p class="MsoNormal"><o:p> </o:p></p><p class="MsoNormal">Below, are instructions for two of them.<o:p></o:p></p><p class="MsoNormal"><o:p> </o:p></p><p class="MsoNormal">The first mask has written instructions. <o:p></o:p></p><p class="MsoNormal"><o:p> </o:p></p><p class="MsoNormal">There is also a link to a very similar mask with verbal and visual instructions.<o:p></o:p></p><p class="MsoNormal"><o:p> </o:p></p><p class="MsoNormal" align="center" style="text-align:center"><a name="_Hlk37368275">Facial Cover </a><span style="mso-bookmark:_Hlk37368275"><span style="font-size:12.0pt"><o:p></o:p></span></span></p><p class="MsoNormal"><span style="mso-bookmark:_Hlk37368275"><o:p> </o:p></span></p><p class="MsoNormal"><span style="mso-bookmark:_Hlk37368275"><o:p> </o:p></span></p><p class="MsoNormal"><span style="mso-bookmark:_Hlk37368275">You will need:<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class="MsoNormal"><span style="mso-bookmark:_Hlk37368275"><o:p> </o:p></span></p><p class="MsoNormal"><span style="mso-bookmark:_Hlk37368275">Piece of fabric that is at least 18 inches square. Cotton is best. I cut up an old T shirt. <o:p></o:p></span></p><p class="MsoNormal"><span style="mso-bookmark:_Hlk37368275"><o:p> </o:p></span></p><p class="MsoNormal"><span style="mso-bookmark:_Hlk37368275">Two rubber bands, hair ties or elastic. If using two pieces of elastic, make a loop out of each piece , the size of a rubber band and secure it with a knot.<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class="MsoNormal"><span style="mso-bookmark:_Hlk37368275"><o:p> </o:p></span></p><p class="MsoNormal"><span style="mso-bookmark:_Hlk37368275">Steps:<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class="MsoNormal"><span style="mso-bookmark:_Hlk37368275"><o:p> </o:p></span></p><ol style="margin-top:0in" start="1" type="1"><li class="MsoListParagraphCxSpFirst" style="margin-left:0in;mso-add-space:auto;mso-list:l0 level1 lfo3"><span style="mso-bookmark:_Hlk37368275">Lay the fabric out flat on a hard surface.<o:p></o:p></span></li><li class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="margin-left:0in;mso-add-space:auto;mso-list:l0 level1 lfo3"><span style="mso-bookmark:_Hlk37368275">Take the bottom of the fabric and fold it up to the center. Crease the fold slightly so that it stays flat.<o:p></o:p></span></li><li class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="margin-left:0in;mso-add-space:auto;mso-list:l0 level1 lfo3"><span style="mso-bookmark:_Hlk37368275">Take the top of the fabric and fold it down to the center. Crease the fold slightly so that it stays flat.<o:p></o:p></span></li><li class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="margin-left:0in;mso-add-space:auto;mso-list:l0 level1 lfo3"><span style="mso-bookmark:_Hlk37368275">The top and bottom pieces of the fabric should meet in the middle. If you wish, you can use a safety pin on both the bottom and top folds to keep them secure as you work. (Be sure to remove them before finishing the mask.)<o:p></o:p></span></li><li class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="margin-left:0in;mso-add-space:auto;mso-list:l0 level1 lfo3"><span style="mso-bookmark:_Hlk37368275">Repeat steps 3 and 4. <o:p></o:p></span></li><li class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="margin-left:0in;mso-add-space:auto;mso-list:l0 level1 lfo3"><span style="mso-bookmark:_Hlk37368275">You now have a mask with folds on top and bottom. The right and left ends are still open. You will use these open ends to attach rubber bands, hair ties or elastic.<o:p></o:p></span></li><li class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="margin-left:0in;mso-add-space:auto;mso-list:l0 level1 lfo3"><span style="mso-bookmark:_Hlk37368275">String the left open end of the fabric through the rubber band, hair tie or elastic loop until the band is about a quarter of the way toward the center of the fabric.<o:p></o:p></span></li><li class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="margin-left:0in;mso-add-space:auto;mso-list:l0 level1 lfo3"><span style="mso-bookmark:_Hlk37368275">String the right open end of the fabric through the second rubber band, hair tie or elastic loop until the band is about a quarter of the way toward the center of the fabric.<o:p></o:p></span></li><li class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="margin-left:0in;mso-add-space:auto;mso-list:l0 level1 lfo3"><span style="mso-bookmark:_Hlk37368275">Fold the fabric from the left side into the center. Your crease should be where you placed your rubber band.<o:p></o:p></span></li><li class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="margin-left:0in;mso-add-space:auto;mso-list:l0 level1 lfo3"><span style="mso-bookmark:_Hlk37368275">Fold the fabric from the right side into the center. Your crease should be where you placed your second rubber band.<o:p></o:p></span></li><li class="MsoListParagraphCxSpLast" style="margin-left:0in;mso-add-space:auto;mso-list:l0 level1 lfo3"><span style="mso-bookmark:_Hlk37368275">to wear your mask: place the open ends of the mask that are closest to the rubber bands against your face. Place the left rubber band, hair tie or elastic loop over your left ear and the right rubber band, hair tie or elastic loop over your right ear. Be sure that the mask covers your nose and mouth.
