Please read below, from At Large President, Patrick Johnson, more reasons to attend the virtual convention.<o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal><o:p> </o:p></p><p class=MsoPlainText><o:p> </o:p></p><p class=MsoPlainText>Reasons I am looking forward to a virtual state convention<o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoPlainText><o:p> </o:p></p><p class=MsoPlainText>I am looking forward to a virtual state convention for the following reasons.<o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoPlainText>• Sleeping in my own bed.<o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoPlainText>• The ability to attend multiple sessions at the same time through Zoom.<o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoPlainText>• The relaxed pace of a convention spread out over 7 days instead of<o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoPlainText>crammed into 3 ˝.<o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoPlainText>• Bottomless strong coffee made the way I like it.<o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoPlainText>• Avoiding being volunteered by Tracy. On second thought, never mind<o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoPlainText>he’s already assigned me tasks.<o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoPlainText>• The ability to participate in late night sessions while in bed.<o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoPlainText>Some of us unfortunately have alarm clocks set early.<o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoPlainText>• The freedom to rock casual below the waist and professional waist<o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoPlainText>up. I’m leaning towards sweat pants and slippers to accompany my coat and tie.<o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoPlainText><o:p> </o:p></p><p class=MsoPlainText>Reasons I dream of returning to an in person convention.<o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoPlainText>• Fellowship garnered by sitting shoulder to shoulder with my Federation family.<o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoPlainText>• Bruised ankles from a weekend of getting whacked by canes.<o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoPlainText>• Eavesdropping on others conversations during General session.
