While our response was strong—we estimate hundreds of emails were sent to each office—the ATAA was, unfortunately, not restored. <o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal> <o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal>Currently, the House version of the BBB is waiting for a Congressional Budget Office score and is likely to be passed by the House during the week of November 15. The good news for us is that the Senate is extremely likely to change the BBB before passing it. This means we have an opportunity to get the Access Technology Affordability Act back in the bill. <o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal> <o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal>As a result, we are updating our request from the November 1 legislative alert. First, if you have not already sent your email to Speaker Pelosi or Majority Leader Schumer’s office, please do so. Additionally, if your individual Senator or Representative has not cosponsored the Access Technology Affordability Act, please ask them to do so.
