<p><b>What\u2019s one thing you do as a blind person that makes someone else say, \u201cWait\u2026 how did you do that?\u201d</b></p>
<p>Maybe it\u2019s a tool. Maybe it\u2019s technology. Maybe it\u2019s a completely nonvisual technique you picked up years ago from another blind person.</p>
<p>Now imagine putting a whole room of those ideas together.</p>
<p>That\u2019s the idea behind <b>Tools for Independence</b>, a hands-on seminar happening <b>Friday afternoon</b> at the 2026 NFB of Virginia State Convention.</p>
<p>We\u2019ll explore practical <b>no-tech, low-tech, and high-tech</b> approaches to:</p>
<ul><li>Independent living</li><li>Navigating and interacting in your community</li><li>Staying connected with others</li><li>Finding resources to keep learning independently</li></ul>
<p>But this isn\u2019t just about showing up and listening.</p>
<p><b>Bring a problem you haven\u2019t figured out yet. Bring a solution you have.</b></p>
<p>Because sometimes the most useful thing you take home from convention isn\u2019t something you planned to learn. It\u2019s the trick, tool, resource, or idea you picked up from the blind person sitting next to you.</p>
