You have lamented on how to cultivate relationships with other parents
in your neighborhood; moms and dads that will share in the day to day,
ins and outs, of being a blind parent. You have pondered aloud how to
demonstrate how you are just like everyone else in the sighted. The blind parents of
Virginia have heard you! You have ripped out your hair with this
pandemic and children being around 24-7. If you attend one more zoom
that just further discusses how inaccessible the platforms that schools
are using are. The blind parents have heard you! No more Zoom! Not so
fast… The blind parents of Virginia invite you to what promises to be
an enriching and authentic conversation on building that village,
managing that stress, and so much more. We are tired of Zooms that
just talk at you and give our word that this will be conversation that
will not be the thing without your ideas, suggestions, and friendship.

Shannon Fingerholds is the president of Moms offering Moms support
Fredericksburg Chapter. She is a sited mother of one child who can
provide the alternative perspective of how a blind person can assimilate
into such a culture. She is prepared to answer any and all questions and concerns. 

LisaMarria Martinez is a California mother of 3, life coach and the
coordinator of the National Federation of the Blind, blind parent’s
group.

Melissa Riccobono is the first lady of the National Federation of the
Blind and a mother of three. She is prepared to address those burning questions we have all had about blind parenting on a national platform. 

Justin Boggle is a blind father of a preschool daughter who lives in Chester Virginia.
