The CDC is looking for adults with disabilities (who DO NOT have expertise with emergencies and disasters) to review their Disability and Health Emergency Preparedness website and participate in a focus group discussion about website content and layout. The CDC is looking for a broadly diverse group. Note that everyone who applies to participate may not be selected. Would you please forward this email to your stakeholders, constituencies or other contacts? Thank you. Sue Wolf-Fordham
On behalf of CDC's National Center on Birth Defects and Developmental Disabilities (NCBDDD), Banyan Communications invites you to participate in a voluntary focus group to help us improve CDC’s existing Disability and Health Emergency Preparedness Website. This website will have updated information and resources for people with disabilities, caregivers and family members, emergency managers, first responders, and community-based organizations on preparing and responding to emergencies.
The focus group will be a 60-minute discussion which can accommodate no more than 6 total participants. We want you to be comfortable, and share with us your opinions and suggestions on how to improve CDC’s online emergency preparedness and response content and website layout. The session will be observed by one or two people from the NCBDDD. However, they will have their cameras and microphones off, and your views will remain confidential. We also ask that you please review CDC’s existing Disability and Health Emergency Preparedness website prior to the focus group, available here:

We plan to hold the focus groups between December 6 and December 9. If you would like to participate, please open the poll by clicking on the link below, enter your name and email address, then select all of the times you are available to participate. We will schedule the session at a time when everyone can attend.

You will receive a $50 gift card for your participation in the focus groups. If you have any questions or need special accommodations to facilitate your participation, please reach out to Jana Scoville via email at <mailto:jscoville at banyancom.com> jscoville at banyancom.com, or by phone on 404-388-4200.
Thank you in advance for your support!
