[NFBV-Fairfax] Board Meeting Minutes, Fairfax Chapter, April 1, 2024 at 3:30 PM

	Hi all, here are the minutes from the April 1 board meeting:
April 1 nfbv Fairfax board meeting
• attendance
• christine Grassman• jacob ham
• john scroggs
• treasury adventure continues. We will await the approval of our Constitution, open a new bank account with a new tax ID, then pursue the closure of  the former account, which still proves to be an issue, and may require stronger direct action.

• as of reporting, the account has not been closed
• wells fargo will not hear us because none of our names are on the account
• Christine mentioned that we require bylaws which address removal of a Board member if they do not perform their elected responsibilities and shirk fiduciary duty to the chapter in order to avoid molehills becoming mountain ranges.

• May 11 Affiliate Board Meeting in Richmond: Christine, John Bailey, Harry Staley, and Braden Flax will attend leadership seminar after board meeting.

• Christine indicated that she hopes we have our treasury situation figured out by then so that we can discuss  pledges to White Cane, Jernigan, SuN, TenBroek and NFB Camp Funds. 
 
• next meeting on zoom, April 18, via the affiliate Zoom, 7:00 PM. 
• next chapter board meeting Monday, may 6 at 3:00PM
• May  in-person meeting is contingent upon possible activity; will be decided before April chapter meeting.
