[NFBV-Fairfax] Summary of Board Meeting

	Good morning, everyone:
Yesterday at our board meeting, the following was discussed:
1. Matchbox 20 is the clear winner for our New Year’s celebration. An invitation will be sent out tomorrow. You may bring anyone you wish, but please RSVP with the number of guests. The cutoff date is January 17; we want to give Matchbox a heads up.
2. We continue to work on transferring responsibility from our past treasuer to our newly elected treasurer.
3. There is a potential fundraising opportunity for the sale of shirts and other merchandise with a fun saying and graphic (secret for the time being) which can also be put on other merchandise. These products will also contain a QR code that will take its reader to information or a web site we specify, such as nfb.org. We discussed using this fundraiser to celebrate the 200th anniversary of the invention of Braille. 



We look forward to seeing as many of you as possible on January 20, 2024, from 3:30 to 5:00 PM at Matchbox 20 near the Wiehle-Reston Metro. Exciting details and inbformation tomorrow.
