	Hear ye, hear ye!
The 2024 Annual Convention of the National Federation of the Blind of Virginia has concluded, and I would like for those of you who were there in person or via Zoom to send me some reminiscences, reflections, thoughts, etc., about what you attended, what resources you came away with, how you supported someone else, so that I can write about it for the blog of the Communications Committee.
Additionally, please remember our November 16 in-person chapter meeting and NFB eighty-fourth birthday party at Matchbox Reston from 3:00 to 5:30.
That’s right; I’m going to secure us another half hour to prolong the festivities.
Be on the lookout for an RSVP form, and please, please RSVP by November 12 at noon. The twelfth at twelve. OK?
One thing we may want to discuss is our annual celebration: Do we want to step things up? We agreed at the last board meeting that we’ll stick with January, after all of the other holiday hubbub has quieted.

We will hold elections, so if you did not pay your annual dues of $5, please bring them with you so that you can vote and/or stand for election.
At this time, we have nominations for President, Vice-President, and Treasurer. We have board positions available as well.
Please nominate yourself or someone else and dive in to chapter leadership and development.
If you are currently on the board, and wish to nominate yourself, or be nominated for a different role, (or even the same one), make sure to let us know, and make sure to be present on November 16.
The board did not meet today (we usually meet on the first Monday of the month), but decided to hold off until next month given that . . . and we’ve come full circle . . . our annual state affiliate convention just concluded.
I hope all of you decided to exercise your right to vote, and that your voting experience was (for those of us who voted early), or is (for those of us who vote tomorrow) accessible. The NFB wants to know about your voting experience at:
