Well, for Jaws users, there is a simple way to easily turn Jaws speech output on and off. Just press and hold down the Jaws key, then press the space bar, and then let them up. Now press the letter “s” key, and jaws toggles between silent mode and full speech output. This keyboard combination can be handy if you want to listen to a meeting without having Jaws talking while messages come up on the screen.
