January 20th

Guten Tag my fellowFederalationist. Today will be a busy day for many of our fellow members asthey visit lawmakers in Richmond. We all hope they have a safe and productiveday. At Saturday’s meeting we had a large group to meet with Tracy Soforenko, our state president. The group included two more new members. We will introducethem when the minutes our published. This is a special Crier that I am putting out to react to a podcast Iheard this morning.

Today’s BlingAbilities podcast was with anauthor and his newest book. This book is a picture book but it is also anaudiobook. The basic premise is a sort of time travel through the boy’sgrandfather’s experiences. I might add that the grandfather is African-American.

The discussion of the book is interestingbut the overall story ties to the visually impaired author and his problemswith learning he was adopted and also learning about his rare eye disease.

I hope my description of the podcast doesmake it sound very interesting and I think if you listen to it, you will bepositively impacted.

Below is a link to the podcast through theBlindAbilities.com website. Remember you can enable BlindAbilities on your AmazonEcho device or download the APP from the APP Store or go to the website. However you choose to do it, I hope you do. There are hundreds of theirpodcasts and a mine full of information.
