Our chapter really needs a secretary and treasurer nomination, so please, if you want to be more involved in our chapter, let us know you are interested in these or any other position. Our leadership team consists of a president, vice-president, secretary/treasurer, and two board member positions.</div><div dir="ltr" data-setdir="false"><br></div><div dir="ltr" data-setdir="false">2. For the auction at state convention, I just want to clarify that it does not need to be a gift certificate, it can be a solid, actual item, our chapter just needs to be able to mail it and/or get it to whoever wins the bid! An email came out from the affiliate on September 8, 2020 with information about the auction. The Fredericksburg Chapter of the NFB met this morning at 10 AM with Brittany Ingram
presiding. There were 9 members and two members of the state affiliate. The purpose
of this email is to talk about the election of our chapter’s officers.<span> </span></font></span></p><font face="Times New Roman" size="3">
</font><p style="margin:0in 0in 8pt;"><span style="font-family:Times New Roman, serif;"><font size="3" style="background-color: inherit;">Our
nominating committee is Holly Frisch, Chairman and Lori Wages.<span> </span>Their contact information is at the bottom of
this email.<span> </span>Please contact them if you
want to run for an office or suggest candidates.<span> </span>The election will be at the October meeting.</font></span></p><font face="Times New Roman" size="3">

convention will be held October 26 and is virtual. There will be meetings over the
whole week ending on Sunday.<span> </span>The schedule
of activities will be out in the near future.<span>

</font><p style="margin:0in 0in 8pt;"><span style="font-family:Times New Roman, serif;"><font size="3" style="background-color: inherit;">As part of
the convention there are door prize drawings.<span>
</span>Our chapter will contribute two $25.00 door prizes.<span> </span>There will also be an auction held during the
convention.<span> </span>Each chapter is asked to
supply items for the auction.<span> </span>In the
past these items were actual, solid objects, but this year the items will be
gift certificates. If you have a connection at a store or restaurant that is
national, regional, or local you might ask them to contribute a gift certificate
for the NFB convention. When the item is auctioned off, the local chapter
receives part of the proceeds and the rest goes to the state offices.<span> </span>Lori Wages put out an email in the past
couple of weeks that explained how to send these in.<span> </span>If you can’t find that email, just contact
Lori.</font></span></p><font face="Times New Roman" size="3">

able to attend the convention, but to participate you must fill out the form
that was sent out and submit it. You must also be current on your dues to be
able to vote at the convention or bid on auction items.<span> </span>If you are not sure if you are up-to-date on
your dues, contact Dick Byrne.<span> </span>Below is
