Subject: FW: Try-It Adaptive ice Skating Event Invitation - Sunday, Jan. 7

FYI

I pass along information I have received FROM Doug Goist for your
respective chapter distribution, if and as appropriate, and for those of you who I know are athletic.
Obviously, I think my ice skating days and competition are over.
Event Invitation - Sunday, Jan. 7

Hi All-

Original message from Doug Goist :
I wanted to invite you to our second annual "Try-It" ice skating event for persons who are blind and visually impaired, held in Arlington from 10AM-Noon, Sunday, January 7.

Our inaugural event had more than 60 registrants and I know this year we are having 15 students from the Maryland School for the Blind come join us.

The event is free and skates will be provided. Just dress somewhat
warmly as the iceplex is around 55F degrees ambient temp.
We (the Washington Wheelers) are planning to play a blind hockey game after the try-it event, around 12-2 PM.
Please let me know if you would like to attend so I can have a rough estimate for my fellow organizers.
I have pasted the info and registration link below, pulled from the attached flyer.
Feel free to hit me up if you have any questions.
Also feel free to pass this along to any other VI/blind friends/contacts you think might be interested.
Thanks and Merry Christmas-
-DG
