Good Morning Friends,

 

First, Charlie is now out of the hospital!  He is now in rehab at the Jefferson, Room, 309.

After two bouts in the hospital (Dec. 22-27) and (Dec. 29 - 8) he was released to heal.  I don't know how long he will be there; he is still very tired and needs to recover.  I expect he will be there 10-14 days before coming home.,

 

The combined effects of chemo and radiation took its toll in a big way: not being able to swallow water or go to the bath room resulted in many complications including blood clots, fainting, allergic reactions to antibiotics, etc.  However, we are through all of that now and are on the road to recovery.

 

I believe a phone call or two or visit after calling is now in order. ( His cell is 703 300-5870)   Tell all our friends that I would talk to each of you but do not have the stamina now.  

 

We both thank you all for your encouraging thoughts, prayers, etc.
