Hello John, Evelyn and Annette,

As I mentioned to Tracy, we are considering offering additional travel training sessions around the stations closed for the Yellow/Blue line shutdown. We have three O&M Specialist available under contract with Columbia Lighthouse for the Blind. We can provide some group classes or we can expedite individual travel training around the shutdown.

I would appreciate you sending out an notice to your members about this program and ask anyone who is interested in such sessions to call us at 202-962-2703 or email to traveltraining at wmata.com<mailto:traveltraining at wmata.com>.

If people have concerns or issues that we can address to make the summer easier for our Blind and low vision customers, please have people contact me directly.

Also, we will be announcing an RFP for an audio navigation system in our rail and bus system in the next month. Please let me know if you would like me to speak on this at any of your meetings.

Thank you.

Hi Tracy,

In response to customer complaints and the articles in the Post, we are conducting outreach to see if blind riders would benefit from some group travel training sessions at the stations that are closed for the platform repair project in NVA.

Could you assist by providing me the email addresses of the Presidents of the various NFB chapters in NVA? If you happened to have any ACB contacts or other thoughts about who we should contact, I would greatly appreciate it.

Thank you.
