Colleagues and Friends,

It is November and much to our delight, turkeys are meeting their maker. Thanksgiving is rapidly approaching. It is the time for family and friends to get together for fun, fellowship, and feeding. Of course it really is the time for all of us to reflect and give thanks for our blessings and successes. We in the Potomac Chapter and the Federation have much to be thankful for. As a part of the Federation family, we will share in the warmth of good fellowship and learning together.

Please join us for our November chapter meeting. Everyone is welcome.

The Potomac Chapter NFBV will meet at 7:00 pm, November 14 at St. George's Episcopal Church. The address is 915 North Oakland Street, Arlington Virginia 22201. We meet in room 114.

We will discuss our recent state convention, our holiday dinner, the distribution of coins, among other items.

If you belonged to our chapter in May of 2019 and have not received your coin, please come to the meeting to receive your coin.

If you are available, I hope you are able to join some of your fellow Federationists before the meeting for dinner at 5:30 pm on Thursday October 10 at Cosi, 3503 Fairfax Drive. It is on the corner across Monroe and Fairfax Drive from the Virginia Square Metro. Unfortunately, I am unable to participate this month.

I am very much looking forward to seeing you at the meeting.

Sincerely,

John Halverson, President

Note that the church is two blocks from the Virginia Square Metro station.
1. As you leave the Virginia Square Metro escalator turn 180 degrees and walk to Fairfax Drive.

2 Turn left and walk to Nelson.

3 Cross Nelson with Fairfax Drive on your right. Note even though Nelson has little traffic, there is a traffic signal at this intersection.

4 After crossing Nelson Street continue for an additional block with Fairfax Drive on your right. You will reach Oakland Street. Turn left on Oakland and an almost immediate left through a small parking lot.

5 Knock on the door and someone will let you in the church.

Thank you.

John
