The December book club will meet at 7:00 pm December 3 at the home of Nancy Yeager.  Her address  is 3800 Fairfax Drive, Apt. 1605.  The building entrance is on North 9th Street.  Nancy's land line number is 703-812-0953 and her cell number is 703-283-2524.

We will order dinner prior to the meeting.  The menu will be sent in a few days.

The Reckoning by John Grisham Discussion Questions

1. What was your initial reaction to this book? Did it grab you immediately or did it take some time to get into?

2. Which of the three sections of the book did you enjoy the most?

3. John Grisham is known for writing legal thrillers. Did the Reckoning  seem to be more of a legal thriller, historical fiction, a tragic drama, a family saga, or something else ?

4. Which of the three sections of the book did you enjoy the most?

5. At the end of the first section what did you imagine was Pete's reason for murdering Dexter?
6. Were you satisfied with the ending of the book? What did you like, what did you not like, and what do you wish had been different?

7. Were the characters believable? Which characters did you find the most compelling?  Which character did you relate to the most?

8. How did the characters change throughout the book? How did your opinion of them change?

9. There were many themes in this book. What stood out for you?
