This month, Diane Rehm will be hosting a book club discussion and a special add-on author conversation.
The Diane Rehm Book Club will convene on Wednesday, April 21, at 1 p.m. ET for a discussion of “Caste: The Origins of Our Discontents” by Isabel Wilkerson. Join Diane Rehm and a panel of guests for a discussion of Wilkerson’s new take on understanding America’s long history of racial oppression — as a hidden caste system that dictates where people stand in our society.
Following the book club discussion, on April 21 at 2:15 p.m. ET, Diane will host a special author conversation with Isabel Wilkerson. They will talk about Wilkerson’s powerful best-selling book, “Caste: The Origins of Our Discontents” and how she incorporated personal experiences and historical research to argue for a new understanding of racial inequality. This special author event has a suggested donation of $25 with registration.
