Hello Members and Friends,

I am writing to remind you of our Potomac Chapter March meeting.

It will be held virtually by Zoom and in person. The location is room 114 Saint. George's Episcopal Church located at 915 North Oakland Street, Arlington Virginia. The date is March 13 and the time is 7:00 PM.

We have an exciting agenda planned. The highlight is a discussion by three disabled indigenous women in celebration of Women's equality month.

Thank you to Christine Grassman who made contacts to set up the meeting. Her announcement is found below.

We also will announce our nominating committee. Our annual elections will take place at our April meeting scheduled for April 10. Remember your dues must be paid before voting on this date. Dues are $5.

We will also announce our audit committee and a committee to guide our June fund raising auction. This auction will tentatively take place on Saturday June 15. Be thinking of merchants you may obtain items from. If each of us obtains two or three items we will have enough items to raise a great deal of money.

Below is a more detailed announcement of our speakers program, Zoom information for the meeting, and walking instructions from the Virginia Square Metro Stop to the Church.

John Halverson, Corresponding Secretary, Potomac Chapter

Please hop on the Potomac Chapter's hybrid meeting via the affiliate Zoom (below), on Wednesday, March 13, at 7:00 PM:
I will be facilitating a panel discussion with three indigenous women with disabilities. Please join us. These three women are fascinating and resilient, and have a wealth of experience and perspective to share.

Walking instructions from the Virginia Square Metro Stop to the Church

As you leave the Virginia Square escalator, turn 180 degrees and walk to Fairfax Drive. Turn left and walk to Nelson Street. Cross Nelson with Fairfax on your right and even though Nelson has little traffic, there is a traffic signal at this intersection. After crossing Nelson Street, continue for an additional block with Fairfax Drive on your right, you will reach Oakland Street. Turn left on Oakland Street and take an almost immediate left in to a small parking lot. Knock on the door and someone will let you in the Church.

Note, if you are coming by car to the meeting, let the driver know that the door you want is labeled 1 and is next to a mailbox.
