Subject: PCNFB November 13, 2024 Chapter Meeting

Hello, members and friends. I am looking forward to our meeting tomorrow at 7:00 pm in Room 114, St. George's Episcopal Church ,door 1, 915 North Oakland Street in Arlington. LeRoy Hansen has graciously offered to bring pizza and I hope you can join us at 6:15; you will need to provide your beverage. The first slice will cost $3.00 and if there is enough left for a second slice, that will cost an additional $2.00 so please plan accordingly.

Julie Orozco, our first vice-president, will be chairing this meeting and leading us through topics which will include introduction of in-person and Zoom participants, October minutes and treasurer's report, discussion of our recent NFBV state convention, holiday party, our November chapter presidential release, accessibility issues to be considered by urban community planners, Richmond and Washington seminar participation, and that catch-all category of other business.

All are welcome and the  Zoom information is below the walking instructions from the metro.

Walking instructions from the Virginia Square Metro Stop to the Church

As you leave the Virginia Square escalator, turn 180 degrees and walk to Fairfax Drive. Turn left and walk  to Nelson Street. Cross Nelson with Fairfax on your right and even though Nelson has little traffic, there is a  traffic signal at this intersection. After crossing Nelson Street, continue for an additional block with Fairfax Drive  on your right, you will reach Oakland Street. Turn left on Oakland Street and take an almost immediate left in  to a small parking lot. Knock on door 1 and someone  will let you in the Church.

Note, if you are coming by car  to  the meeting, let the  driver know that the door you want is labeled 1 and is next to a mailbox.
