Subject: Better Bus Network
Dear Ms. Halverson,
Thank you for reaching out for information about the new Better Bus network, which is launching on June 29, 2025. Metro continues to work behind the scenes preparing for implementation, writing schedules for every route, training operators and communications staff, ensuring our systems and data are updated to provide accurate customer information, and updating bus stop signs, maps, and the website.
For information about the new network and routes, please visit our website www.wmata.com/betterbus<http://www.wmata.com/betterbus> for maps and individual route profiles. This spring, updated maps and profiles, along with new information will be added to our website to provide additional information. The trip planner will also be updated this spring with an option to plan your trip with the new bus network, while continuing to provide information about trips you are making today.
Due to the breadth of the new bus network and limited personnel, we are unable to participate in individual organization's meetings. The best way to stay informed about the Better Bus Network is to sign up for Better Bus updates<http://www.wmata.com/betterbus> and follow us on social media. We are also partnering with local jurisdictions and community partners to share information and extend the reach of our information. With that, you can help your friends, family, and neighbors stay up to date on the latest information as we roll it out. Previous newsletters are available here<https://www.wmata.com/initiatives/plans/Better-Bus/past-issues.cfm>.
Thank you again for contacting Metro.
Best regards,
Allison
