Hello Potomac Chapter Members and Friends!

At 7:00 PM, Wednesday, June 11, the Potomac Chapter of the National Federation of the Blind is meeting to discuss several important issues. The meeting will take place in person and with Zoom. See you there!

On June 29, the Metro's Better Bus Network goes in to operation. This means changes in bus stop locations, changes in bus route names, and changes in schedules. You do not want to be at your old bus stop only to hear the bus pass you without stopping. Briget Dougherty, a longtime Federation member, and Metro employee will  discuss these changes and explain how we can get more information about the initiative.

Our fundraising auction is scheduled for Saturday June 21 at 3:00  PM at the Lion Village Community House. The community house is located at  1920 North Highland Street, Arlington Virginia. We will discuss logistics such as what should we offer participants to eat, do we want entertainment, and how can we obtain additional auction items and participants. Do not forget to give your friends an opportunity to join  us.

Our national convention will take place in  New Orleans this summer between July eight and thirteenth. We will discuss the agenda and we should identify meetings which chapter members may wish to attend and bring back reports to the chapter.

Time allowing we plan other topics and the playing of the Chapter Presidential Release.

We are meeting in room 114, St.  George's Episcapol Church, 915 North Oakland Street, Arlington Virginia. Please enter on the southeast corner of Fairfax Drive and Oakland Street. The door has a number 1 written on it.
