Subject: New voting equipment update

Hi Patricia,

I'm reaching out and let you and the Potomac Chapter know that we will use new ballot scanners for the August 4th Primary, but  continue using our current Ballot Marking devices. There is only one change to the user experience for voters using the Ballot Marking device, which is that when the voter inserts their ballot marker ballot into the scanner, it needs to be inserted up against the right side of the scanner slot, rather than in the middle. Officers will receive training on this subject. If you have any questions, or would like more information, please let me know.
