<p class="MsoNormal">President Christine Grassman called the meeting to order on Zoom at 7:00 PM. After determining who was present, President Grassman asked the chapter if they would like to donate do any of the NFB funds for 2023. Patty Droppers moved that
the chapter donated $100 for each fund (Sun, White Cane, Jernigan, and TenBroek) and $100 for NFB Camp. John Halverson seconded, and the motion was approved.

<p class="MsoNormal">President Grassman introduced a panel of speakers from the Board of Elections of Virginia and Up Vote Virginia. First, Lizz White and Tate Fall from Up Vote Virginia spoke about the implementation of rank choice voting in Arlington. Liz
described the process of rank choice voting, explaining how votes are reallocated each time the candidate with the lowest votes is eliminated. She then explained that in the upcoming primary, the two candidates to receive enough votes to push them over the
victory threshold will win. Then Tate Fall described which offices will be on the ballot in the upcoming primary. Finally, Joan, the president of the Arlington and Alexandria League of Women Voters, introduced herself and invited everyone to a candidate forum
on April 30. <o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">After a break, the agenda turned to the chapter elections. President Grassman thanked everyone for their support throughout her term as chapter president. The nominating committee selected Sandy Halverson as their presidential nomination.
It was moved and seconded to cease nominations, and Sandy was elected by acclamation.

<p class="MsoNormal">For the first vice president, the nominating committee put forth Patty Droppers as the nomination. Sandy moved, and there was a second that nominations cease, and Patty was elected by acclamation.<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">The nominating committee chose to submit LeaRoy Hansen as their nomination for second vice president. Many voices moved and seconded that nominations cease and LeaRoy be elected by acclamation.
<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">The nominating committee put forth John Halverson for the corresponding secretary position. It was moved and seconded that John be elected by acclamation, and he was so elected.<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Julie McGinnity was nominated by the nominating committee for the recording secretary position. Sandy moved, and it was seconded that Julie be elected by acclamation. She was elected by acclamation.

<p class="MsoNormal">The nominating committee put forth Sein McMahon for the position of treasurer. Sandy moved, and John seconded, and Sein was elected by acclamation.<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">For the first board position, the nominating committee put forward Nancy Yager. Sandy moved that Nancy be elected by acclamation. Arielle seconded, and she was elected.<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">The nominating committee put forth Casa Hun for the second board position. Sandy moved, and many voices seconded. Casa was elected by acclamation.<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">The nominating committee chose John Halverson as the delegate to the national board. Sandy moved, and Arielle seconded that John be elected by acclamation. The motion was approved.<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">The nominating committee put forward Nancy Yager as the alternate delegate. It was moved and seconded that nominations cease. Nancy was elected by acclamation.

<p class="MsoNormal">President Grassman took nominations from the floor. Michael Batie was nominated. It was moved and seconded that nominations cease. Michael was elected by acclamation.

<p class="MsoNormal">The meeting adjourned a little after 8:30. <o:p></o:p></p>
