[NFBV-Richmond-Announce] November 18 meeting and important information

Good evening Richmond chapter family, 
Believe it or not, it is time for our monthly chapter meeting. As you may remember, last month we decided to move our chapter meeting to November 18 to accommodate the holiday season as well as the need to RSVP for our holiday party. This email contains lots of important details so please be sure to read it to the end. 

As usual, our meetings will take place from 6:30 to 8:30. If you plan to join us in person, we will be meeting in the assembly room at the Virginia rehabilitation center for the blind and vision impaired, located at 401 Azalea Ave., Richmond, 23227. The doors will be locked so please be sure to ring the doorbell to be let in. If you are attending virtually, the link is provided below.

If she hasn’t sent it already, Melody will soon be sending out the nominating committee report for your perusal. Tomorrow night, we will be holding our annual elections for all open positions. In order to vote, please be sure that your five dollar dues have been paid for this year. Paying dues allows you to vote and help shape the work that we do in our local chapter.

Our holiday party is on Thursday, December 5, 2024 at 6:00 PM. As in years past, we will be dining at the capital ale House located at 623 East Main St., Richmond, 23119. If you plan on attending the party, this Monday, 11/18 is your last day to RSVP.  you may reach out to Domonique or Nolan to confirm your attendance. The cost for each meal is $25 and you can pay at Monday’s meeting, or the night of the party. Please note, any beverages outside of water and tea must be purchased independently. If you need to make arrangements to pay electronically for dues or the holiday party, please reach out to Domonique.  Along with other fun games, we will be having a white elephant gift exchange. You are welcome to, but not obligated to participate. If you would like to participate, please bring a gift of up to $20 value.
