Good afternoon,

 

I am absolutely thrilled to relaunch our Richmond chapter committees and
take meaningful steps toward strengthening the blind community! Our chapter
is only as successful as the passion and dedication we bring to it, and
together, we continue to prove that blindness does not define or limit us.

Your support in making the Richmond Chapter an outstanding community is
truly appreciated, and I am grateful for each of you who contribute your
time and talents. Below is a list of potential committee topics with brief
descriptions. If you're interested in leading or joining any of these
committees, I would love to hear from you! Please reach out using the

Membership Committee 

1.	 Welcome all new members to the chapter and help them sign up for
the list service.

 

2.	Complete the onboarding process for all members and report the
information to Mark Roane

 

3.	Develop strategies to get all members involved former /present.

 

4.	Use the white cane list to build our local membership.

 

Fundraising 

1.	Create several fundraisers throughout the year to increase revenue.
2.	Plan and help with the advertising of the October Cane Walk largest
fundraiser
3.	Develop plan to increase chapter funds.

Special Events

1.	Help plan and execute the Chili Cook off.
2.	The committee helps plan monthly /quarterly events to get chapter
together and to invite potential new members to attend.
3.	Holiday Christmas Party planning.

Community/ Program Outreach Committee

1 Develop a plan of action to reach out to the community for education and
information.

2.Develop topics to discuss at our chapter meeting and special guests to
provide the chapter with valuable resources.

 

 

 

Employment/Enrichment Committee 

 

1.	cc1. Develop ways to enrich our members.
