One of our students, Cynthia, successfully pulled off a surprise for her O and M instructor by nominating her for the Acts of Kindness Award which was presented by Channel 12 at our staff meeting last Friday. I am also attaching the letter of nomination she submitted to Channel 12. I am truly humbled by the opportunity to work with individuals who, on a daily basis, transform lives from despair to empowerment. This story is a reflection of the hundreds, if not thousands, of lives all of you touch and transform. Make no mistake about it, the work you do makes a difference. I had the honor of seeing that last week at the Take Charge event and then at our staff meeting on Friday, as well as witnessing countless daily victories.
