Dear James,
Attached is my current Treasurer's Report.  There is one check outstanding
made out to you for $250.00 as a gift for Max.  Did this go astray? or
could you cash it soon?

P.S.  Got a call from Lois Everdale.  She has been in the hospital the last
week with severe jaundice.  They are "letting" her out today but more tests
need to be done in order to see what is causing problems with her pancreas.
