[NFBV-Winchester] Upcoming Meetings and Events in May

Hello Chapter Family and Friends,


Happy Easter everyone. I hope you all have a great holiday. There are
several meetings and events going on in May that may interest you. Please
reach out to me by the deadline for each event if you plan to attend so
transportation can be finalized.

-            On May 3rd at 12:30, The Lions Club invited us to join them on
their float. As of now Chris, Kim and I plan to ride. Kim is offering to
provide transportation. There are still a few seats left so if you would
like to ride on a float this year, please reach out to me by April 25th.



-            On May 10th from 3 to 5 pm at the Loudoun County Library in
Ashburn.  The Loudoun County Chapter is having a special meeting with
several senators and delegates in attendance. Issues
involving transportation accessibility, pedestrian safety, and accessible
voting will be discussed. This will be a great opportunity to provide our
legislation with lived feedback about the need for changes to policies
surrounding these issues.  As of now Rodney and I plan to attend. If you
would like to support this effort, please contact me by April 30th so
transportation can be finalized.



-            On May 17th from 1 to 4 pm at Immanuel Baptist Church in
Richmond. The NFBV board meeting will be taking place. We will not be
having our regular chapter meeting in May to attend the board meeting
instead. As of now Chris, Fernando, and I will be in attendance. If you
would like to show your support and attend the meeting, please let me know
by May 3rd so transportation can be finalized.
