I wanted to put out this job description to any of you stay at homes
that might be looking for a flexible job that helps out the world and
brings in a little extra cash.  I am on the board of an organization
called King County Conservation Voters, a chapter of the Washington
Conservation Voters.  Washington Conservation Voters is a statewide
organization that works to elect and hold accountable environmental
candidates.  
 
We are looking for a part time staff person to help us on our efforts in
King County.  The job description is below and will give you more of the
details but this is a great group of people and a great environment to

Background:

 KCCV is the largest chapter of Washington Conservation Voters (
www.wcvoters.org <http://www.wcvoters.org/> ), an environmental
political organization that acts in the public interest to elect,
support, and hold accountable state and local public officials to
achieve responsible environmental policies in Washington State.

KCCV is looking for a part-time professional staff person to manage the
activities of the KCCV board of directors, liaise with WCV professional
staff, organizers from other environmental groups, WCV volunteers and
candidates for elected office.

The staff work for KCCV revolves around a predictable annual cycle: we
start the year with an annual board retreat (January), hold our sole
fundraising event (an auction dinner) in April, begin candidate
endorsement interviews in May, and organize grassroots support for
candidates in the Fall.

Duties:

*	Staff monthly board meetings, including managing the agenda,
scheduling speakers, keeping records of resolutions and decisions; 
*	Assist with organizational communications between staff
meetings; 
*	Provide consistent intra-organization communications with WCV
staff; 
*	Assist in preparation of materials and agenda for annual board
retreat; 
*	Provide significant administrative, organizational and
fundraising support for annual auction dinner; 
*	Prepare and distribute invitations for endorsement interviews;
schedule interview meetings; maintain line of communications with
candidates and their campaign staffs; make endorsement recommendations
in conjunction with WCV staff; 
*	Serve as volunteer coordinator for King County volunteers and
assist with organizing grassroots events during campaign season

Requirements:

*	Highly organized individual with experience "staffing" a board
of directors or other executive committee; 
*	Experience with political campaigns; preference for recent local
experience; 
*	Experience, knowledge or strong interest in environmental
policy; 
*	Comfort and/or experience with fundraising event planning; 
*	Comfort and/or experience managing volunteers;
