Fellow Federationists:
I have attached a document from http://www.braille.org (NFB's braille literacy campaign website) which describes ways to raise money for the campaign including sales of the Louis Braille Coin. I urge all to register at http://www.braille.org so that you can receive updates on the campaign as it develops.
I also urge those who have not already done so to register as a "marcher" or "virtual marcher" at http://www.marchforindependence.org to raise money for the Imagination Fund. Raising money this way is quite easy. Ask Jacob Struiksma!
>From time to time, say every week or so, I will send out a message to this list containing one of the fundraising suggestions from the attached document. Most of these are applicable to any fundraising effort.
Here's the suggestion for this message: "Offer to do something that your friends and family have been nagging you to do anyway and attach a price to it. For example, quit smoking on the condition that your friends donate to the campaign, or get your friends to pay a certain amount for every day you don't smoke for up to thirty days. This could apply to exercising, not eating sugar, shaving off a beard, etc."
