I had been to the 94 convention in Detroit and the hotel looks a lot diffrent than I remember.

He stayed at a Hilton Garden inn down the street.  It was nice not to be at the convention hotel.

We did not get to bed till 1am on Sunday Morning.  And Michael and I set our alarms wrong on our phones. So I did not make it to the Caucus.

Participated in the March.  Witch I did not plan on.  Recorded it on my phone with the voice notes app.  It has the walking as well as rally part.  I can send it to those that might be intreseted in it.

Spent time visiting friends from other states.  Did not get a chance to see them all.

Went to the Tirger/Royals game on Tuesday.  Royals lost 5-8.  Suprised I did not see Mike there.

Over all the convention was okay.  Some intresting topics as usual.  Big time emphisis on the Louie Braille coin.

We were disapointed that there was only chocolate at banquet and not coffee cups.  We have been collecting them since we have been going.  This was my 15th convention and the first with out a coffee cup.  Can't put chocolate coins with the coffee cup display.  Will put a Louie Braille coin there sure.

Felt more abused than normal.  As you would read from my facebook, myspace, and twitter statuses.  Felt like I was pushed, shoved, and caned a lot more, by the conventon particepants.

Felt weird that convention was over after banquet.  But a relief at the same time.

My family and I stayed a couple of extra days.  It was nice to have that time to do some tourism type stuff.

I did hear about an annoucment that went through the correct process.  The first line was read to the masses then when Mr. Mauer read the secod line it was torn up.  The announcment was to form a Gay/Lesbian group in the NFB.  It was stated to the person that wrote the anouncment that there was no place in the NFB for that kind of group.  I was suprised by this.  A group of blind people wanting to achieve equality, being discrimitory itself because of the president of the NFB.

I do have some pictures from the trip.  If anyone is interested.  I do have some pics of the WA banquet table 132 and the rows of deligation of WA from the meetings.  As well as some other ones.

Did not know if I could post the recording of the march or the pics so I didn't.
