      The Division of Vocational Rehabilitation, which provides services for individuals with disabilities, has started a new project here at Edmonds Community College. The project is called Project Hire. 

      This program provides services to students with disabilities who graduated this Spring 09 or Summer 09 quarters.

      2. PARALEGAL VOLUNTEERS: EXTERN/VOLUNTEER PARALEGAL (NON-PAID) 
      The Washington State Attorney General's Office in Everett, WA is looking for students who are interested in gaining practical paralegal work experience in a team environment with legal professionals. 
      JOB RESPONSIBILITIES MAY INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO: 
      (Under the supervision of an Assistant Attorney General or a paralegal supervisor) 
      ? Collects, organizes and analyzes factual information and documents related to litigation, potential litigation, or legal services to a state agency client 
      ? Composes legal notices, pleadings and other legal documents 
      ? Drafts petitions to terminate parental rights 
      ? Requests documents from various courts 
      TIME COMITMENT 
      ? 12-20 hours per week (minimum) 
      ? Three month commitment (minimum) 
      SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE NEEDED 
      ? Attention to detail 
      ? Multi-tasking 
      ? Proficient in MS Office computer applications 
      ? Excellent oral and written communication skills 
      ? Good attendance 
      ? Ability to ask questions
