Does anyone know what is happening exactly to the money that is supposed to
be going to the students when they go back to their sighted schools?
Is the teacher's association going to "hold" it for them or something?

It seems that there is more to the equation here than money concernes,
although certainly money shapes the debate. There are some who actually
believe that places like schools for the blind are somehow regressive. I've
seen the term "segregation" used, even by some blind people. Full inclusion
is a great ideal, and it works well in a vast majority of cases, but not
all. The bottom line is, schools for the blind are still very much needed,
and closing them will cause untold harm to the individuals these legislators

are professing to help.
