Hello Fellow Listers,

 

President Kris Colcock has asked me to remind you of the November meeting of
the Greater Seattle  Chapter to be held at the Downtown YMCA on 4th Ave
between Madison and Marion from ten to noon.  There is much happening at
this meeting.  Treasurer Doug Johnson will be busy collecting monies who
have Braille coins funds still out and he will be collecting payment for the
holiday party, which is $14,00 per adult.  More information regarding the
party will follow at the end of the post. We will be having another
technology fair lead by Mike Mello, so please come with your favorite *A T
toy* or questions regarding potential purchases or questions about devices
that concern you.  Mike will be the man to answer and help you.  Thanks for
Volunteering, Mike.  We will be seeking more volunteers to man the tables At
Boarders Books for the gift wrapping fund raiser.  Perhaps you know a friend
who would share a shift as volunteers ,a good way to share a few hours and
raise funds as well.  Jim Janey is coordinating the effort and can be

206-972-2769.

 

The holiday party is on December 12th at the north Seattle Outback on 130th
and Aurora, the same location as previously.  The cost this year is $14.00.
They will open at 11 AM , will start serving at 11:30 and can not guarantee
service after noon.  We need to be out by two PM so they can start preparing
for their public dinner service.  The cost includes lunch, with choices of
steak, chicken, a vegetarian dish and possible salmon as well and includes
all non-alcoholic drinks, dessert, taxes and gratuity.  There will be gift
bags as well this year.  I can not promise about the bar as that
availability depends on the number of his volunteer servers.  Gift exchange
is optional and it is suggested to keep it light hearted and in the 12.50
$15.00 range.
