Seahawks Open Preseason with Two Home Games
training camp
The Seahawks open their preseason at home with a Saturday evening
contest vs. the Tennessee Titans on August 14 at 7 p.m. (PT). The game
will be televised
on KING 5 in Seattle. Curt Menefee will serve as the play-by-play man,
with Warren Moon moving over from his radio duties to handle commentary.
On 710
ESPN Radio and 97.3 FM is Steve Raible joined by former Seattle
linebacker Dave Wyman with Sara Eckert handling sideline duties.
The two teams have met 14 times in the regular season, with Seattle
holding a 9-5 advantage. Tennessee transferred from Houston in 1997 and
changed its
name from the Oilers to the Titans in 1999. Since that move, the two
have only matched up twice, on December 18, 2005, and last season's
finale on January
3, 2010. In that game, Titans running back Chris Johnson eclipsed the
2,000-yard mark with 134 yards on 36 carries in Tennessee's 17-13 win.
Seattle has faced the Houston/Tennessee franchise once in the preseason,
a 20-10 win on August 28, 1993, in Texas.
