Seahawks Face First Road Test This Weekend
Washington touchdown
The Seahawks continue their preseason this week with their first road
game of the preseason, this Saturday evening at the Minnesota Vikings on
August 28
at 5 p.m. (PT). The game will be televised on KING 5 in Seattle. Curt
Menefee will serve as the play-by-play man, with Warren Moon moving over
from his
radio duties to handle commentary. On 710 ESPN Radio and 97.3 FM is
Steve Raible joined by former Seattle quarterback Sam Adkins with Jen
Mueller handling
sideline duties.
The two teams have met 11 times during the regular season, with Seattle
holding a 6-5 advantage. Minnesota has won three of the last five
meetings dating
back to 2002, including last season's 35-9 win on November 22 in
Minneapolis. In that game, Brett Fare threw three first-half touchdown
passes en route
to a 213-yard performance on 22 of 25 passing with four touchdowns.
In the preseason, Seattle leads the series with Minnesota by a 7-5
advantage. The Seahawks came away with a 34-17 victory at the Vikings on
August 8, 2008,
in their last meeting.
Next week, Seattle closes out the preseason visiting the Oakland Raiders
on Thursday, September 2. It will be the fifth meeting in as many years
that the
two teams face each other to end the preseason.
