She read all the Laura Ingles-Wilder books, a number of the Otis Spofford
books many other children's books. She also read a lot of serious adult
books including, if I am not mistook, "Against Our Will" or another book of
that genre. I preferred Dale Carter myself but Mrs. Sales could certainly
bring the books to life.
