Seahawks Head to Windy City to Take on the Bears

[cid:image001.jpg at 01CB6B8C.D73F8990]Exiting the Bye Week with a 2-2 record and second place in the NFC West, Seattle embarks on a stretch where it will play four of the next six ball games on the road.

This week's test comes at the Chicago Bears on Sunday. The game will be televised on FOX (channel 13 in Seattle) and broadcast on 97.3 FM and 710 ESPN Radio in Seattle. The game is slated to kick off at 10 am (PT).

This week's game versus the Bears will mark the 12th time the two clubs have squared off in the regular season with Seattle holding a 7-4 series lead, and winning three of the last five.

Last season, with Seattle playing without seven injured starters, Chicago defeated Seattle, 25-19, at Qwest Field on September 27, 2009. The Seahawks could not hold on to a 13-7 halftime lead while Jay Cutler led Chicago on a six-play, 71-yard drive culminating in a 36-yard touchdown pass to Devin Hester with 1:52 left for the deciding score.

Since that game, kicker Olindo Mare has made a Seahawks-record 25 consecutive field goals.

The teams have faced each other once in the postseason, the 2006 NFC Divisional Playoff Game, with Chicago coming out on top 27-24 in overtime. Seattle could not hold on to a 24-21 lead in the fourth quarter as Robbie Gould kicked two field goals, including the game-winning 49-yarder in overtime.
