I thought Scott Labarre did a commendable job and appreciated is National
report and the parade of agencies was typical. However, I thought Dinese
Mackenstadt's report about Youth Slam was the most informative.

Well, since no one else wants to put their two cents in, I'll add a couple
of more coins. Give Mike Mello from the Seattle Chapter a lot of credit for
the tremendous success of our short term drawing/raffle for the Ipod Touch
64, third generation. The raffle made us quite a good sum of money for the
efforts folks put into it. Not sure which chapter sold the most, but I know
Mike from Seattle, Don, Kaye, Bob and Les from Vancouver, Lisa from
Bellingham and Maria from Spokane did very well. A Face Book friend of Marci
Carpenter's actually won.

Connie Utterback was fantastic handling registration and auction money, and
of course, Gary Mackenstadt did his imitation of Doug Johnson, since he is
the assistant treasurer after all.

And definitely, we owe thanks to Dory (Kaye Kipp of course) for again giving
out some great door prizes. I don't quite know where they all came from,
but we had some interesting prizes, such as some little birds, bags of
coffee beans, and much more.

Again, not to belabor the point, but I certainly enjoyed this year's
convention.

/s/
