a brown bag lunch discussion of
Pearl s. buck's 1931 bestseller
"the good earth"
Starring
the fashionably dressed staff of wtbbl
WTBBL invites patrons, volunteers and neighbors to celebrate the National
Library Service for the Blind and Physically Handicapped's (NLS) 80th
anniversary at the library with a book talk. Bring your lunch and wear your
most fashionable 1930s era garb for cookies, coffee, tea and a lively talk.
Location: Washington Talking Book & Braille Library (2021 9th Avenue,
Seattle, WA 98121)
Date: March 3, 2011 - the official day that NLS started providing
books!
Time: 11:00 am - 1:00 pm
There will be a short program on the history of the NLS talking book in
Seattle at 11:30 am, followed by a discussion of this celebrated book.
Stay after the program and discussion for a tour of the library.
