My family has done this for years.  I rather they call my Sister who knows all my medical history.  Then for them to have to rummage threw my purse to find my wallet.  Plus, one less thing to carry in my wallet.

I rather doubt many paramedics spend much time looking at one's cellphone in case of an emergency. Better to carry a card in wallet or purse or wear an alert bracelet with such information.
